The Adventures Of Tom Sawyer
On a balmy summer evening, a packed audience gathered for the School's open-air production of 'The Adventures of Tom Sawyer.' A cast of twenty-five brought the town of St Petersburg, Mississippi, to life, painting picket fences, swinging dead rats, white-water rafting and, needless to say, enjoying a cotton-pickin' hoe-down!
Tom Wheeler (5B2) took on the sizable title role, ably supported by Fletcher Dobinson as Huck Finn, Leander Crocker-Digby as Sid the Snitch and Shani Voisey as Aunt Polly.
The authentic flavours of the Deep South were provided by a good ol' barbecue, featuring the Sawyer Sausage Sizzler and the Hucky Hamburger Hum-dinger! The show's run was blessed with perfect weather, making for a truly memorable production.
