Each year teams take part in the annual Ten Tors expedition on Dartmoor. The school has enjoyed
good success in this event. Pupils can participate in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme in their own time.
It is organised by a member of staff and many school activities are suitable as qualifications for this award.
Bramdean Outdoor Pursuits is very popular with the pupils and walks take place at weekends
on a regular basis. Events include Exmoor Challenge training walks and orienteering.

Ten Tors 2010

Bramdean's 35-mile Ten Tors team are celebrating being the first team to cross the finish line on the route H course. The team set the fastest time for the route and came fourth out of all the 35-mile teams. Head teacher Diane Stoneman said:
"The team led the field at every tor and were the second team of the whole of the Ten Tors event to reach the eighth tor and camp.
"Route H had a longer second day walking than the other routes. I am so proud of them, they have worked very hard to achieve this fabulous result. Their efforts really show dedication and commitment of the highest order."
